This afternoon, after leaving work to venture on a { undisclosed } mission in NYC, I was tied in to a draining conversation pulling me in like a succulent black hole through the phone, while praying to the universe that I don’t allow this to steal my shine { the shine of pure joy radiating through veins, which was jolting left thumb in spasms due to a circuit malfunction } & hoping for a quick change of circumstances to keep the joyous momentum going .
Since everything you seek is looking for you too, like a movie producer seeking a cast member for the star role, the following occured ~~~ someone from the filming crew approached me to sit in a front row seat of The Late Night Show with host Stephen Colbert, while stating, “we got a good one for the open spot” on his headset with a microphone.
After the initial reluctance to accept such a sudden & unexpected offer faded away; the realization that the camera’s always rolling set-in. This was actually the first time { after being filmed, recorded, photohraphed unknowningly a few times prior } that the idea of “The Camera is Always Rolling” became connected to what it means to live, and to live freely.
It’s now or never.
Unlike someone who ordered tickets online, and then anticipated the upcoming event; this experience was much like a star in the movie called Life being recruited for a front line position just for being candid & qualified.
That was my evening { & the meaning of Life } in a nutshell .
{ P.S. Politics with a comedic twist is the best form of stale news, made even more apparent than before by my experience on The Late Night Show. }
